From Karen Zarska Styer:
Today was a very special day with the people. They have home fellowship meetings every Wednesday and they asked me if I wanted to share more. So this time, I decided I wanted to have them ask me questions so I could direct my sharing based on their questions. It turned out so marvelously! They asked more about the Shekinah glory, and the things that are in the Ark of the Covenant. I was so thrilled!
I was able to go over the law again inside the Ark and how it is a law of love, shaped like a heart, God’s heart! I went over the first three commandments. Then we came to the 4th commandment. Here I shared how we spend special time with our Creator, how He may be very busy running the Universe, but He takes special time each week to be with us. I gave the example of a husband and wife and how they can go on a special date with one another and forget about all the burdens around them as they rest and bond and spend time together.
I talked about how our Heavenly Husband wants to do that with us too. I did not at all emphasize that the 7th day is the Sabbath instead of Sunday. We can discuss those details later. I just talked about the 4th commandment being a part of that law of love and rest – not work – but resting from work.
Then we went into Hebrews 8, where we see the new covenant for the New Testament Christians, and how the Lord will now write that law on our hearts so we can live a holy life with Jesus living through us.
I had shared this message on Sabbath too, but the the two non-Adventist Pastors were not there to hear it. It had an amazing impact, and the Holy Spirit could be felt – “second witnessing” everything I shared.
Then they asked about the rod that budded. I explained that it represents the people God puts in leadership positions in the Church. Then the Lord was able to help me share about the amygdala (which means almond – which are on the rod that budded) in the most simple and beautiful way! Only the Lord could have done that!
It was so complete, simple and powerful! We all left in awe of God’s special message again. After the presentation, everyone was so quiet and peaceful, and no one wanted to leave – there was so much Holy Spirit and the Presence of the Lord there!
