Today was the start of the official series for Pastor Benjamin’s Church. The Lord really blessed! Some of the info was a repeat for those who attended my other presentations, but they seemed fine to have another look at all the “new to them” information.
One big new piece I added was about the Great Controversy between Christ and Satan. We went back to where the first Sanctuary story began at the beginning of time with the creation of the angels, and how Lucifer, the first head angel, and was one of the covering cherubs over the throne room in the Most Holy Place. I told the whole story of the fall of Lucifer and how he became Satan, then followed through with the creation of the world, and then the fall of Adam and Eve.
I explained how we have a chance now to make a choice too, which side we will be on, and how much Jesus loves us,and how we can replace the angels that fell, and be by Jesus’ side, as His best friend, for ever and ever.
There was a little boy around 6 yrs old, who stayed through the whole meeting. The children do not have to attend the meetings, so he was there by choice. There were probably 2 other children that were in the meeting. This special little boy was in rapt attention the whole time, especially when I got to the part about the battle between Christ and Satan in heaven.
As the story went on, the boy’s eyes filled with tears. He did not stop having tears until we got to the part about how we can join Jesus in heaven and everything will be right again. The young lady next to him, possibly an older teenage sister was teary-eyed in the same way. You could really tell this was the first time they had ever heard such a story as this! It was such a very touching time!
I remember as a young child loving the evangelistic meetings and absorbing it all in. What a joy to lead another little one to the Lord!
